I feel like I have been living in the wild and I've finally made it back to civilization. I no longer live in the ghetto. Can I get a hallelujah? Last week, I moved into a great house in West Seattle. My roommate is awesome and her little boy is the cutest thing ever. Of course, I only see him for 10 minutes a day because he goes to bed shortly after I get home from work so I get to miss all the terrible two behavior. I come in the house and hear him shout, "Mamy!" That's what he calls me, :-). He runs up to me, bumps into my legs, looks up at me with the sweetest face, and raises his arms for me to pick him up. My heart melts and even just sitting here thinking about it, I can't help but grin.

My rooms down in the basement are cool and dark, just like I like it. In fact, my bedroom doesn't even have a window. I can finally sleep as much as I need to without the light waking me up. Yay! The living area has one window high up on the wall that lets in just enough light for me to know it's daytime. I couldn't be happier. And the best part of all? The washing machine is ten feet from my bed!! I no longer have to haul my dirty clothes down the street and spend two hours at the laundromat being assailed with Mexican soap operas at full volume and screaming, out-of-control children.

I got all my stuff unpacked last Sunday. Only took a week this time, lol. Actually most of my stuff stayed in boxes and is in the storage closet since Meg already has most anything I might need in the way of kitchen stuff and the like. I have a living area with its own entrance which is cool but mostly I live in the bedroom. I have both my laptop and my desktop in there because I'm lazy and don't want to have to get up to switch computers. It feels good in this house. There's a peaceful, calm, happy vibe here. I really need that after living in such a soul sucking pit for the last six months.

Now all I need is Shannon and it'll be perfect.
